Quilting has taken over Japan, Korea is rapidly becoming a quilting country, and Asia is once again embracing the art! The Museum of American Quilter's Society, curated by Naomi Ichikawi, presents 'New Winds from Asia' exhibiting Japan, Korea and China until July 7th. Quilting, which originated in Asia, was taken to Europe by Marco Polo and then brought to America by immigrants. It has since gone back to Asia thanks to the quilt revival that came with the Bicentennial of America. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, with group rates available. Don't miss this one!
